No Cost & Low Cost Advertising Tips

Get the URL address of your personal website out everywhere and share it with everyone you know.

• Word of Mouth. Tell family, friends, co-workers
• Hand out business cards to people you meet
• Post flyers in various areas of your community
• Use your telephone/address book to contact old friends
• Contact people you give business to such as your car mechanic, roofer, plumber 
• Include a business card when paying bills, sending thank you notes, and most any snail mail
• Do not forget to hand a business card to your doctor, lawyer, pastor
• Always keep flyers and business cards with you in your vehicle
• Always keep business cards on your person
• Local grocery stores - post a business card or flyer on the bulletin board. Hand the owner and workers a business card.
• Leave business cards and flyers at colleges and universities
• Leave business cards and flyers most any where there is a waiting area
• Use Traffic Exchanges. Create a doorway page and place the doorway page url in Traffic Exchanges
• Subscribe to newsletters and ezines that offer free ad placements.
• Subscribe to more every week.
• If you have a doorway page, submit your doorway page url to the search engines once every 4 weeks.
• Place a free classified ad at a different classified ad site each day
• Utilize safelist advertising
• Always use the same ad if possible... at least ten times at any resource such as newsletter advertising
• Search for community newspapers and neighborhood newspapers and place an ad in those....usually free or very low cost
• Offer something free. Such as pencils or folders with your url on them. (these are great free items for college kids)
• Offer something free online to prospects. You can create a lead page and tell prospects to send for more info about your business (to your autoresponder). For sending for the info they can receive a free report, a special tip, a free ebook, etc.
• Offer something for free in your ad

• Search for forums that allow you to post a free ad
• Chat in forums that allow you to post a signature (with your URL in it!)

• Search for PEN PALS and make new friends
• Search for EMAIL PALS and make new friends
• Purchase leads from a credible lead source and CALL the leads
• Perform Surveys and give something free along with your business card for completing the survey.
• Hire college kids, to do surveys around campus, hand out flyers and business cards, set up a booth or a table
• Place your url on your checks
• Be sure and hand a card to the boy that sacks your groceries and the cashier
• Purchase a stamper and stamp your url on the outside of envelopes
• Purchase self stick labels with your url on them
• Have a yard sale, bake sale, make money and hand out your flyers and business cards at the same time.
